Safeguard Redact prepares sensitive case documents so you can use them with AI without sharing identifiable information. Once you have checked the pseudonymised version, you can use AI to review, improve or adapt your writing in ways that support better practice.

Always check the final document before sharing it. Pseudonymisation reduces exposure of identifying details; it does not remove your responsibility to handle sensitive information carefully.

Before you download
Before downloading Safeguard Redact, please confirm that you understand and accept the following:
- Safeguard Redact is a pseudonymisation tool designed to help identify and replace personal identifiers within documents. It does not guarantee that information has been fully anonymised.
- You are responsible for reviewing the resulting document before sharing or using it elsewhere, including checking for missed identifiers and information that could identify someone from the surrounding context.
- Safeguard Redact processes document content locally on your computer. Safeguard Insights does not routinely receive the documents or mappings you process through the desktop application.
- Using Redact does not automatically make it lawful or appropriate to upload the resulting information to an external AI service. You remain responsible for ensuring that any onward use or disclosure complies with your organisation’s policies, confidentiality obligations and applicable data-protection requirements.
- Saved mappings may allow pseudonymised information to be linked back to individuals and must therefore be kept secure.
